Oligomenorrhea
Infrequent menstruation (intervals of about 6 to 12 weeks.)
Oligozoospermia (oligospermia)
Term used to describe the quality of the ejaculate. In oligozoospermia the ejaculate contains only a small number of sperm (less than 50 million per ml ejaculate).
Oophorectomy
Surgical removal of one or both ovaries.
Oral contraceptives (OCs)
Hormonal preparations for prevention of pregnancy taken by mouth. Commonly referred to as "the pill".

Oral contraceptives
Known more popularly as “the Pill,” are one of the most effective reversible methods of birth control. Oral contraceptives contain hormones that prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg. Without the presence of an egg, conception cannot take place.
Osteoporosis
A disease in which bones become fragile and more likely to break that can accompany aging, particularly in women. It is marked by the loss of bone mineral and a decrease in bone stability. It occurs most frequently in women who have gone through menopause.
Ovaries
The female organs that produce ova (eggs) and sex hormones such as estrogens and - periodically ? progesterone. The two ovaries are on each side of the uterus.
Ovulation
The release of a mature ovum (egg) from an ovary. It occurs about every 4 weeks in the middle of the menstrual cycle, approximately 14 days before the start of the next menstrual period.
Ovum (pl. ova)
Egg, egg cell. The female cell of reproduction.
